Forest School- Shelter

Today, Year 2 Armstrong went for an exploration in the forest school. They looked at natural materials and what would be suitable for a shelter. They had a lot of fun searching for the different materials whilst making the most out of exploring all the different spots in our forest school area.

Hopefully, Year 2 can return again within the next few weeks to make shelters of their own!

Have a look at what they got up to while in the forest school. 🙂

Week 2 – Mary, Mary

This week saw the children learn the rhyme Mary, Mary as part of our 9 Rhyme Challenge. The children have worked hard to learn the words and simple actions and are really enjoying the challenge. Lots of parents and carers have said their children are practicing singing the rhymes at home which is fantastic 🙂

Keep posted next week for Week 3 of the challenge.

Celebration Assembly Celebrities 24th February 2020

Year 6 students had another fantastically productive week on IXL, earning a wealth of certificates. Our weekend cross country runners represented our school brilliantly and two of our runners placed impressively high, earning themselves certificates. We also learned a little about a new reward system our classes can look forward to if they get 100% attendance. Each day that every child in a class is in school on time, they can earn a letter of the word “ATTENDANCE”. Once they have collected every letter, they can look forward to a very special award.
